I Wait Poem by Minnie Gehrig

I Wait

goddess rise to meet me,
I wait as the horizan,
waits for the kiss of morning,

I wait flooded
in pasts dark waters
scrub my soul
1 foot at a time,

I wait as a cloud
awaits the push of wind,
home bound,

I wait as hungry night
Embraces the moon

I wait as stars hang themselves
there souls shining in death,

I wait as the clock ticks to closing time,
and my eyes pull into my face slowly
to meet you in dreams..........................
