I tried to let you see the truth
I tried to tell my name
I tried to show what my heart looks like
But you just turned away

I tried to tell you who I was
I tried to show you trust
I tried to give you a chance to see
But you broke my heart in disgust

I tried so hard to be visible
I tried to speak and explain
I tried to help open your eyes
But you just closed them up again

I tried to give you a new name
I tried to learn who you are
I tried to reach you easily
But you put a wall between our hearts

So now I’m done trying
To play alone a game for two
I must place my final piece
According to what you choose

I tried to give you a choice
I tried to let you read in kindness
But now I name you Eligiusz Cili
For you have chosen blindness
