I Thought I Had It Bad Poem by taylor baecker

I Thought I Had It Bad

Rating: 5.0

Drenched with the depression,
A young girl waits while clenching the door to heaven's gate.

Forced out into this brutal world with nothing but fears,
Dirt sheltered face aloof by tears;
Melancholy and discontent full to the brim,
Oh, GOD! don't let her soul grow dim!

Robbed from her youth and all dreams shattered,
Saturated with poverty, but what does it matter;
To be a beautiful blossom living this way,
Fight for survival all of her days.
