I Slipped, I Fell, I Stumbled. Poem by Micheal Olaniyi

I Slipped, I Fell, I Stumbled.

A word can change the world
either for peace or for war,
she came over and said 'it's over'
Which echoes over and over.

My heart breakdown
And my gloomy face die down
I felt sober remembering
the days over and over.

False love blinded my eyes,
Playing 'who is in the garden'
But before I realize
I was in the red sea.

I raised up to face reality,
Looked again into it,
I glance and see betrayal
But she scoffed and smile like a winner.

Remembering the good times
without flaws,
the bad times within us,
The ugly times we get hurt,
Yet still remained us.

I gaze intently in her eyes
and findeth not the blessed one
and the most promising one
I see everyday and night.

It started with the follies
Of our lovely future,
granting much honey-tasting
Possible hallucination.

Blooming winter and summer
without measures,
Every sunrise and sunset
All of love actions.

My cup full of trust
But like a blaster wind
She spread straight in
Spill it and blew away.

I think it long and mad,
I wonder how and why,
Recalling all I suspected
but failed to have carefully held.

She is a pied paper haemelin,
Teasing me with her kisses
Which I still miss,
With sweet irresistible melody.

I felt the same thing
Just like an empty tin.
My heart flew out
But to a desert land.

I cannot breadth,
I cannot shout,
Though I want to scream
And cry out loud.

Now my face smile no more,
My heart love no more.
How am I to tell the world
That my baby is gone.

In fact it is horrible
And indeed I slipped
Indeed I fell
Indeed I stumble.
