I Saw Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

I Saw

From afar, bejeweled
that light beheld
before nothing
became all things…

That being jailed
slumped in ponder
wandering through thought
wondering why so do think…

Through space, and all of time
across the depths of awe forever
those where space just is as such
chaotic for ever; and again whatever…

A pervasiveness vast and to
be delivered into and upon
in meaning and endeavor, too
all the "clever little men" …

Wherever "they" may reside
inside, outside, topside, or bottom side
down below; to the lowest depths
I will to go, back and forth and on and on…

And the heaven' wept a star lit stream
one from that dream, that out of the ‘blue'
event, upon every horizon; kind of thing
where all of time breaks out, and down…

With eternal joy, and I; shivered with love
reached for love's touch, for love's hand'
and reached out to each heavenly constellation
reilluming my restless, and so wearisome soul…

Affection, then became my only trust's exist
nothingness reigned supremely a narrowing true
amidst celestial seas and heartrending cosmic mists
and dreaming became as wondrous as was meant…

Without vanity, I begged that Heaven' seed
surreal this concept, how real this creed; that
once belonged within my body's chest mixed in the
now, with star's dust, and heaven's crescents…

Oh God' mirror, filled with wisdom's girth
my worth, my worth; I give all to save this earth
through your peace, your love, your truth's happiness
I sigh, and my wept tears water all that is aneath…

And these tear' water' burn of passion's earn
awash so in Heaven's starlight from far above
the mystical, all things majikal, and most maximal
begin to pull my soul slowly; away towards Heaven…

So enticing is my yearn, my spirit flares; as once again
I, feel the reach of power, of energy, of every life
from far away and far from any living's turgid strife
and as the knife; to work I gleam and glean and scream
out in ecstasy, as that agony finally; took leave of me…

Alone and gently lifted from within that night chilled tomb
that profound place of dark, of fright and narrow fearing minds
forward and onward and upwards flown; IAM risen from the grave
an ‘Eagle' matured and returning to his lofty heaven's home…

And from this graze of perfected green, surrounded by reality
grown from sweetest sands and clouds wept mists pristine
IAM aroused upon this quintessential model now so hewn
from the dusts of a trillion planets laid to ruin…

Into these desert skies I rise, its taste forever
upon my lips and enmeshed within my myriad mind
in freedom's grasp, in loving's shroud I do fly
on knee, this moment grateful that I did finally die…

And I once again ask of all of one species; human
this time be attentive, be spiritual, be calmly wise
my request is not much; it is simplification pleased
in kindness live, think, and give; or Earth will surely die!
