I Remember
I remember the day my dad took the knife
He tried to kill my mum with it,
I remember I hid behind the sofa
Where guests used to sit,
I remember when he tried to stab her
with the edge of the treachurous knife,
I will never forget that agonized day
no matter how long I have a life.
