Mother, are you looking for me
In this world of mixed feelings and woes
I missed you for ever due to your demise
The heart burns, eye weeps, mind feels
Mother some times in solemnity I think about you
Your care, love, affection to your son
Your arrangement of things in our little home
Taking too little for your needs
Giving everything for upbringing the siblings
Proudly showing the achievements of little ones
Mother, I lost you for ever in physical terms
Knowing well it is natural and beyond help
The School bag was ready and you arranged
The noon meals were made and kept ready
Knowing well the hunger of children
Just like the birds are making their own needs
And taking care of little chicks in nests
You tried your best to do the needs of children
I pray for you in every night and calls on you
When the dream state of mind remembers you
Though it is a thing of past and never returns.
