I Once Was A Man Poem by Stephen Taylor

I Once Was A Man

I once was a man, with a wife and children
Happy as could be
But, then one day, to my surprise
My wife said something to me

I've decided she said, to throw you away
It's clear you have no ambition
And I'm really getting bored, with things that you say
You obviously lack erudition

So, be off with you, go away
You're fate is of no concern.

I once was a man with a wife and children
Happy as could be
But, then one day, I sadly discovered
My wife got tired of me
