I Miss You Poem by Benjamin Hickmott

I Miss You

Do you know how much I miss you?
Or the pain in my heart, torn in two?
The days are so long and so hard to get through
Because, I miss you.

Last year you were mine
It was so divine
And that's how, it now, should be.
But you claim you're so busy
And can't find the time
To come and make love with me.

Oh, how I do miss you.
Remaining yours, i'm still true
Did I say something wrong, tell me what did I do?
I burn, I yearn to kiss you.

The joy now past
Was it too good to last?
Was it doomed to end so soon?
Was I naive
When I believed
It would go on for so long?

I never cease to miss you.
I can't belive that we're through
For you to come back, tell me what must I do?
Oh, how, I miss you.

I know you confess,
That your life's in a mess,
And that you're unhappy.
Sometimes I cry,
And ask myself why,
Is it partly because of me?

How long must I miss you?
When the pain ends, will I too?
The way that I feel, I belive it is true
Goodbye, my love, I missed you.
