I'M Gone Poem by Ehsan Iqbal

I'M Gone

There's something about your eyes that I understand not
Maybe it's the peace that forever I have sought
Is it the bright sparkle or is it the beautiful glow?
Or maybe it's just the depth, I really don't know

It's ironic how the world misunderstands us both
My thoughts, your hearts they all loathe
Our pride, our honor they all hate
But I guess this is really just fate

Guess everyone's gonna admit it when I'm done
That I was always the only one
Who they could look up to when upset
That my death they really do regret

Or maybe I'll just be forgotten in the ocean of time
Or will I live on through each one of my rhyme
Maybe I'll be remembered as the modern day Shakespeare
And people will say 'Oh, his memorable poem's here'
