'I Love You' Poem by Nedra Pepin

Every time I think of you, I lose my breath.
I can't think of anything to say, I love you to death.
When I see you smile, it makes me feel happy, And when I look into your eyes, they show me how much you love me.
Its hard to believe you could ever love someone like me.
I remember the sleepless nights, when I would lye awake and think of you.

You once asked me who I loved. But I was afraid to say that it was you.
You read my mind though, for you said on that night 'I love you too'
My heart nearly flew out of my chest.
They say love is great, but their wrong. Its the best.
Love is giving someone the opportunity to break your heart, but trusting them not to.
And that is why I gave mine to you. For I trust you.
I gave you my heart, as you gave me yours.
I know our love will stay strong, even threw the worst downpours.
I'll lean on you, and you lean on me.
Were like a family.
'I love you'
'I love you too'
Those words have never meant so much to me.

Our love will last until the end of time, it will be imprinted on the landscapes. and the skies.
It will be remembered by the trees, and permanently imprinted on the rocks that we have walked on.
And everyone has remembered it to this day.
And in peoples memories it will stay.
This story will be past on from one to another, and will be shared until the world ends.
Their dream came true, they are remembered.
And as the years pass by, you can hear something in the trees.
'I love you'
They are the ones that keep this memory alive. Forever.
