I'Ll Be Gone Poem by Edward Veilleux

I'Ll Be Gone

Will she dance ballet like the last,
Will she have a very depressing past?
Will she hide her true self behind a pretty mask?
If those things in her I see, I'll be gone...

Let's hope the next one won't cause me pain.
Let's hope that my love will not be shared in vain.
I have so much to give, if she can offer the same.
If she can not give equally, I'll be gone...

The next girl must be able to pique my interest,
The next girl must love me at my worst as well as my best.
The next girl must be honest, no mind games or tests...
If she will not trust and love me, I'll be gone.

If those things in you I see,
If you can not give equally,
If you will not trust and love me,
I'll be gone.

Who ever she was that inspired you to write like this, don't be mad...call her and thank her. Her lose maybe a poetry world's gain.
