I Know You Not Poem by Tyrone Gayle

I Know You Not

Finding truth is like looking for an ant skydiving from a plane,
It is dangerously difficult to see it if your vision is not strained.

Why is that? Well, people are afraid of bearing it all and be real,
Warning! Things might seem safe but beware the poison is sealed.

Many lives are lies laced with layers of an onion,
Open your eyes, there are two ways you know someone,

The self-desired reality you wish to impose on their existence,
And the perfectly assembled brokenness they put up as a defense.

Ha! Love the first line of this poem! ! ! ! Unfortunately, it is filled with truth! So many people can't even find a way to be true to themselves so how can they share their true self with another? You've penned a nice thoughtful poem.
