I Hope You Got What You Wanted Poem by Nicholas Wayde Turner

I Hope You Got What You Wanted

What did you think was going to happen?
What did you think I was going to do after that?
What did she see in a man like you?
What did you accomplish treating us the way you did?
I’ll never forgive you for the terror you caused our family.
I’ll never love you the way I should.
Please do yourself a favor and remove yourself from the equation.
Please help us understand.
Please please please
I want some closure.
I want to feel happy again.
I want to smile from ear to ear like everyone else.
There is so much running through my mind.
There is so much I want to say.
Where do I start?
Where do I go?
I hope you accomplished what you set out to do.
I hope you got what you wanted out of this.
If you wanted me to be afraid, you got it.
If you wanted me to hate, you got it.
If you wanted me to walk around egg shells, I am.
Just go away now. Just go away forever.
