I Have Walked The Way Poem by Peter S. Quinn

I Have Walked The Way

I have walked the way
and found the difference,
when time meets a day
in its walking trance.
From the flow of night
on to early daybreak,
the first gleam of light
that new footsteps make.

The color of earth
in its light light brown,
when ground is at birth
in its new spring gown.
When seeds rise to light
to give their shade,
in colors all right
and for summer made.

Oh earth my embrace
I love all your touch,
so full of time's grace
that gives life so much.
With all that we are
and what we'll become,
in times of au revoir
when we again succumb.
