I Gave Up On Love



I gave up on love
and left my heart for you
one final act of hope
for the fallen romantic
for tomorrow brings
the first of a new day
begins on waking alone
and accepting this future
alone and without love
keep my heart, take it with you
and find the joy you desire
that which escapes me
I gave up on love
and hope it finds you
