I Feel You Poem by Casey Gochnour

I Feel You

I can feel you there, I can feel you in every bone,
I feel you every time I’m alone.
Whether you’re near or far,
I always want to be where you are.

I can feel you there, with every beat of my heart,
I feel you every time we’re apart.
Giving life to every piece of me,
Filling the hole where nothing used to be.

I can feel you there, over every hair on my skin,
I feel you every time my lips form a grin.
For you’re the reason my smiles begin,
Forming all those creases above my chin.

I can feel you there, brushing against my soul,
I feel you every time you’re near that heart you stole.
You set my spirit ablaze,
Wisping with me forever through life’s maze.

I can feel you there, heating my blood to boil,
I feel you every time, filling my body with oil.
Passion burning like fire, our love truly to admire,
And you’re the one who lit the flames higher.

I can feel you there, I can feel you every day,
I feel you every time and I don’t want you to go away.
Whether you’re near or far,
I always want to be right where you are.
