I Don'T Know When It Started

I sit and think about my mum and dad.
About a time when they were around,
And I was glad.
But they met some people,
And made some choices,
So now all I think about is their raised voices.
I'm older now, but I was just a kid.
When he got angry, us girls hid.
Alot's changed, but alot's the same,
Like how I still flinch everytime they say my name.
My room now has a door, and I don't let them in.
I cover my arms out there, but my room, it's where I sin.
I still hide my blades, my lighter, my tools.
They don't even know. I've made them my fools.
They're the only ones who don't know,
The only ones who don't see.
Yet, they're the only ones who caused the problem
That makes me me.
