I Do's Poem by Terri Read

I Do's

Fairy tales come and go
Where we're you when I said I do
Why does love never last
My other half a lifetime will pass
Our first fight, fists fly in the moonlight
The wedding vows we once shared
Our a part of my past
I take a breath and doubt myself
We can never go back again
Isn't it funny how life's plans change
Memories fade in and out
Till death do we part, two broken hearts
Promises spoken, promises broken
