I Depart Poem by Daniel Richards

I Depart

I fell to pieces and never repaired
I broke you too,
Just scattered pieces everywhere
I’m flying glass razor sharp
Tore me inward, an unwelcome shattered heart
I’ll gather my pieces and depart
So you can be free to mend your heart
As I will always fall apart
There’s not enough left of me to restart
So I take my deathly bow and
Encourage you to move on now
As I will always fall apart
So one final kiss
And I will depart
because I will always fall apart
