I'D Give Anything Poem by Jade Leven

I'D Give Anything

I'd give anything
not to have this blood at my feet
not to have this much regret
and memories of grim defeat
I'd give anything
not to have this pain and strife
not to have to struggle
every moment of my life
I'd give anything
not to look into the mirror
and see someone that I don't like
an image of hatred becoming so clear
I'd give anything
not to hear the echoes of
my words trying to create
illusions to cover lack of love
I'd give anything
not to have to learn to breathe
to know how to do it on my own
to tell myself not to believe
I'd give anything
not to have this point of view
not to see the distant dreams
and all the things I'll never do.

it is so deep i'm almost all of a sudden very depressed. The sign of a great writer! but we already knew that.
