I Cursed The Sun Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

I Cursed The Sun

I cursed the sun for burning so bright
When there's only darkness in my mind
I cursed the moon for shining so bright
when it didn't light up my nights.
They didn't gladden my days
or brought warmth to evenings
Didn't calm my heart
or quieten my dreams.
Emotions left to tide over
in the cold darkness
Left to live out my destined time
in the glaring starkness.
I thought my accusations
were to no avail
But then some clouds came over
hung low over the horizon
Promptly folding up it's trail
the sun hid behind in shame.
