I found you when there was no one
And you stayed with me all along
I let you down to join the party
And you never stopped my song
I cried on you when the party got over
And you softly helped me be strong
I went away in pursuit of the stars
And you stayed behind on nights dark and long
I was broken with falls again and again
And you took each burden, never saying I could be wrong
With each passing day that I hurt you so
There was never a thought for your agonies prolong
Now that the end is near, I wonder
If there is anything I can do to belong…?
