I Am Shocked... (04 / 03 / 2013 / 12: 13-An) . Poem by Koena Mokoena

The fact is i have never faced such challenge in my entire life,
hence i have been tortured while i was sleeping at my grandmother's place.
The fact is i have faced attempted murder in Warden Street,
hence there was a white women, who shouted at me...
' Its us who have rights ' as i was standing there with an aim
to cross the Street...

The fact is i believe i was wrong for claiming my rights...
as i became addicted on a daily basis for this matter.
Hence, i have stopped claiming my rights as i believe
that one day i will be killed for this matter.

The fact is i have also faced another attempted murder
as i was been kicked & hit with the fiests all over my body...
Hence, it was one of the relative, who invited me to be in such
situation.

The fact is i have been also hit by the stones, /
by my neighbours as i was standing in the corner of the /
house at home... /
Hence, i was shocked by such situation as it was the first time... /

The fact is i was been hit again in the Street in Intabazwe, /
by some of the boys with ice-stones of the snow for this matter. /
Hence, i am feeling afraid to re-claim as i will be killed for this matter. /

The fact is i was shocked by my sister with his boyfriend, /
as they were having sex in the couch, hence i lost my normal /
body weight as i was trying to make my dreams a reality, /
by way of composing my personal documents for this matter. /
The fact is i didn't even realize them as i was busy in the bedroom. /
Hence, i am shocked for this matter. /
