I Am Proud Poem by Aldo Kraas

I am proud when I look at the mirror
And I see the new human being
That I became
Because
I no longer argue with the people in my everyday life
I don't engage in self destructive behavior
Because it is very bad for me
When I think about the road to hell that I was walking on
I feel relieved to know that I am on a new path
I no longer dwell on negative stuff
Because it ruins my life and myself
Today I have a good reason to celebrate
All the good things that are going on in my life:
The support of my friends
The spiritual journey
The connection between earth and the people
- I can feel my feet on the ground and I live my life in the
Present moment.
