I Am Magnetic Two Poem by Rob Knetsch

so you think
you really believe
you are convinced
you even live by it
you walk, talk, dress by it
thinking you are the one
one like me, same as me

but when they see you
when they are near you
you feel this push
the push away from them
move in opposite direction
toward abandoned space

it is just wishful thinking
this rejecting state of mind
push the thought away
take this from me
you are not magnetic
