Hurting Mentally Poem by Kimmy Olson

The anger and pain won't go
The resentment won't leave
No matter how hard I try.
I pray and pray
For God to take it away,
But it never goes.
It feels like a bruise,
Waiting to be touched,
And when it is,
It explodes in pain.
The pain is like a bomb
Waiting to be lit.
I can take a physical hit,
It doesn't hurt much.
But however,
I can't seem to ignore
The mental hurt I get
That I can't stop and train
