Humanity Living Peacefully? Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Humanity Living Peacefully?

I have
found forever.
There the past, recalls
the future; in all sadness.
Alas, the present seems to
be forgotten… forever, is so
silent, in this respect… and perhaps
breathless with some anticipation of what
presently does appear, in what was; forgotten.
Within forever rests, a melding of all things
past, and that inkling of just what will
come at last; in what maybe is a future
passed? Given that, in "days of futures
past, " memories where distilled, and this did
cast, as illusion; to that which actually occurred?
And very much, within all words, this is heard.
Where there to be some or any memories of a
past future, in which humanity found itself
to be living in peace eternally; would the
all of humankind, be living on this Earth?
Quite the question here, do you not agree?
"Imagine, " all of humankind is presently
living in peace? Living an eternal
peace in ‘our' times and daze?
Say… Give up a ‘hit' of that
there ‘Purple Haze' you dropped
last eve… For, in this present, that
would be the only way you or I could
‘see; ' humanity living peacefully...
