Human Race Poem by SinJace Ramos

Human Race

Rating: 5.0

Why can't we just get along
On this earth we all belong
Our skin may differ in its tone
No one chooses where he's born
Entering the world a blank slate
Taught to love as well as hate
Fine tuned in the martial arts
Paint battlegrounds with our hearts
Chaos rules the killing fields
Lucky ones carried on their shields
No ones wins in the end
Somewhere another war begins
Parents left with just one truth
Burying sons still in their youth
War can only bring disgrace
On the whole human race
We must admit that we're wrong
Or we'll never get along
