i have seen what
love is there in you

i kept it to myself
i have reasons.

i kiss you and say
no word.

your angry eyes
repulsed me.

what i love was never
studied
it comes uninvited.

your evasive lips
have taught me to be tough.

i am attuned to forget.
no hassle, no problem.

it is easy to learn this:
the one that we love
sometimes cannot love us
in return.

be quick then, do not
take root, always be ready

in mastering how to forget,
how to leave, how to be alone again.

do not take root
keep afloat like the cloud.
