How I Feel A Poem To Democracy Poem by J. Matthew Thacker

How I Feel A Poem To Democracy

Since you left all i have done
Is listen to that song
The one that plays
And never really gives you a feeling of peace

So i figured if I rewrite it
and title it as one of my own
The world would listen
And have an emotion

But they forget that I am here
They are lost in the comotion
And they dont realy care
And I dont realy dare

To say my thoughts out loud
So i dont make a sound
I would rather drown
In my own blood and pain

Then in the worlds obsessions and hate
So i try to change my fate
And live my life all alone
And hope no one will know

What my head is going threw
And what i would do
To get back to you
Only if YOU knew

to the government and what it should be
why cant the man see
what he is doing to the country
his actions are not for you and me
they are only to make him so happy
and to rid the world of its ' infidelity'
KILLING OUR BOYS AND GIRLS TO TRY AND FIX AN UNBROKEN NATION
IS NOT THE RIGHT SOLUTION
TO A PROPLEM NO ONE CREATED
TO THE WORLD HIS OWN ENEMY IS NOW HATED
BY THOSE WHO HAVE THEMSELFS SAID THAT DEMOCRACY IS OVERATED

SO I KINDLY AND HUMBALY TAKE A KNEE TO THOSE WHO SAY
WE ARE FIGHTING TO WIN A PRIZE WE SHOULD NOT SEEK
HIS ANGER FOR MAN WITH A DIFFERENT BELIFES
DID THOSE WHO CAME BEFOE HIM NOT TEACH A FREEDOM FOR ALL AND RELIGON AND SPEEK

but the world forgets I am here
and so they dont really care
and a dont really dare to
say my thoughts out loud
so i dont make a sound
it is not the way its built
but the way we may use it
some care and do what is right
and there are those may chose to abuse it.
