Hoodie Hoo Poem by Haruna Garba

Hoodie Hoo

The hoofers footmarks are missed
Only quick healing scars of skates
The hoodoos are fattened oil bereft
They are at summer's mercy to relax
The loofah leaves are buried deep
Green of life is hidden from the eyes
Shadow outgrows the toilers' bright
At that you put up with the nights
Now hop one, hop all
On our hooves let us all be
Half the day, let us all be out
Together let us shout HOODIE HOO!
