Honour Of Old Age Poem by Adelowo Ifedayo

Honour Of Old Age

The Reality of old age is here with me
A favor done me by God Almighty
Mountains i can no longer move
It's nothing but grace from my God
My Bones are now weak
Arms and leg uncoordinated

The sprightly energy of youthful days gone
And with it the fecundity of yester years
The agility and swiftness of old age all gone
And in their place gentleness and ease

Yet, old age is full of honour
With it come wisdom and reverence
Old age is accorded respect by all
As a treasure sought by all sundry.
