Honesty Poem by Gerald Opio

Honesty

What does it cost?
Is it so tedious to maintain?
Does it call for so much effort?
How hard is it?
A thousand questions can arise about honesty, because it is comparable to none.
It bonds families that are not so close,
Relationship bonds are strengthened, unbreakable they become.
Honesty exudes lucidity, a moment of transparency.
Nothing comes close to it, everyone longs for it.
A honest man is a just man, even the law craves for sagacious judges.
In our communities, we seek for honesty in all corners.
So much is lost in the world due to lack of honesty.
Honesty evolves around veracity, thus a man of no veracity is a cunning one,
Ready to masquerade as one he is not, always be keen so that you don't fall prey.
Have high perspicacity levels as one of an eagle.
A honest man is a desirable one, he holds tons of value in him.
When he inadvertently hurts someone, he opens up and apologizes wholeheartedly with an aim of making amends.
Honesty is a value that can not be bought, it is a priceless virtue.
