HONESTLY

Something in me
wants to go back
and want once more
to hear the sound of
your laughter

i want to imitate
what it really is
i want to show this
place where i come
from
i want to show you
now how disfigured
is my mouth
how this system
has done badly
for all the child in us.

Poem of the Day

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
