A simple man playing his guitar
Upon the beach, he thinks he's a beat poet
A smile lingers in my ear
I lost myself in his words
Yet, he still found the time to laugh
Yup
I feared the darkness
Maybe, even the morning light
You know how to hurt me
When all your calls make me undone
Crying and it's just make believe
Silly girl, you gave away your heart
He's still a figment of your imagination
Arms holding you at night
Fixin' to wake up
