Hidden Within Poem by Scarlet .....

hidden behind a mask
tatter cloth
ripped and torn
a body lies
fallen to pieces long ago
held only by the cloth the around it
but within that body
lies a soul
soul that has survived
all the abuse of time
this soul waits
for which a time
she can rise
and
live again
she awaits a time where
she will awaken
from her nightmares
it endures
day after day
month after month
for she sits alone
trapped in the darkness
unable to move
unable to function
all she can do is sit
and wait
nightmare after nightmare
time crawls bye
there she rest within her tomb
hidden from all
beneath a mask
just waits to rise
waits to live
waits to be free
