Hidden Pain Poem by Amy Louise Kerswell

Hidden Pain

I have pain inside.
I cant let it show you see?
I slap on a happy face.
Hidden well behind my false facade.

I hurt and I hurt so bad.
Hide it well that's the key.
Don't let it show.
They'll laugh at you.

Don't let them no you think it's your fault.
They'll only reinforce it.

I have a mask I wear.
It hides my tears.
I wear my ask day and night.
I can't let it slip.

I live my life with fright
