How was your day?
Oh that's just fine
Mine, it was o.k
The old guy called again
You know the one
Said he's still your friend
I said you were at work
And probably wouldn't talk to him anyway
Hope that was o.k
Last time it's what you asked me to say
After he hurt you and all
Said he was hurting too
I said to leave you alone
He said he'd tried that
I said maybe try harder
I hope that was o.k
What else did he say?
He just said goodbye
And have a nice life
