(here Comes) The Pain Poem by Rich Downes

(here Comes) The Pain

Rating: 2.7

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Oh I feel all the pain
Not entirely sure how this finally ever ends
But maybe
Maybe I want it to rush
Yet I know inside that's so dangerous
Fed up of the pretences
I just dunno who to be
But maybe, maybe

(Here comes) the pain
And now all I can do is stumble around in shame
But maybe, maybe
(Here comes) unable to shove
You were never a dove
Full of false talent

Sensing anything but bliss
No words to say
And I watch the room fill with mist
Just as your body sways
I keep hoping that this is like just a phase
Fed up of the pretences
I just dunno who to be
Maybe, oh

(Here comes) the pain
And now all I can do is stumble around in shame
But maybe, maybe
(Here comes) unable to shove
You were never a dove
Full of false talent

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

She's bored
Now I know she's looking around for some fun and laugh
Don't think I could deny the loss in such bliss.
Wish, wish
Well, I don't know how soon you would even comprehend
Just hate acting down and ever blue
Guessing you'd laugh

(Here comes) feeling anything but smart
And I face shame, but maybe
(Here comes) feeling you're never a dove
Full of false talent
