Her Story Poem by Neha Dua

Her Story

Rating: 5.0

The kohled eyes encapsulated the depth of sea
For they had seen more agony than ecstacy

The rosy lips whispered the unarticulated questions
Shouting aloud the suppressed emotions

The silky black hair waiting to break free
From the shackles of this world's mystery

The slender hands craved for a touch
For her heart had suffered so much

The cherubic smile hid the ordeal
For the pain endowed was so cruel

The mellifluous voice trembled to speak
For it had been silenced by mournful shrieks

The dimpled cheeks galloped hundreds of tears
For no one wiped them for years and years...
