her life and mine
are so very different
she lives with hell and takes it
I live with peace and still can't make it

her life and mine
are so very similar
the same love for the laughter
of the one we love
but for her the smiles are many
and the heartbreaks are few
I can't say the same for me
because of you

but you see, I should be over that
I should be over the fact
that you never loved me
not even for a second

she should enjoy all that
she should embrace the fact
that he always loves her
every second

her life and mine
have their ups and their downs
she lives for the feeling of being on the top

I waste my time dreading
what awaits at the bottom
