Heavens Bleed! Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

Heavens Bleed!

The Palestine bleeds
The Palestine lost
The self-respect and right to live
They are denied of water
The food and shelter
The tanks rolls over
The hamlets mercilessly
The iron falcon
Drop fires around
Flesh and blood strewn
On the chest of Gaza
The west bank
And river Jordan
Turns red with human blood
The hapless move
Leaving all behind the ruins
To the tunnel at Rafah
To sneak into Sinai
The mountain top
Where Moses conversed
With God to obtain
The ten commandments
To keep his men
On right and righteousness!
His men took abhorrent
To the veiled men and women
To the innocent looks of babies
The middle East burning
There lay the grave of Moses
And Mosque of prophet at Jerusalem
The birth place of Jesus
There bleed Palestine
Over which prophet met
The Angel Gabriel
On his way to heavens
Riding the white horse with wings!
Men bury values
The virtues the prophets taught
And turn to beasts
And soak humanity in blood
As God with his burning eyes
Started to rain fire
As did in Sodom and Gomera!

Reminded me of MATT: 24. The part of Sinai and Moses, sent a chill through me.
