Heaven alone has life to give
Alone can God impart
When Jesus’ Promise comes to live
And heals a broken heart


Through Heaven’s love on Calvary’s Tree
Through blood Christ Jesus gave
From Satan’s chains God sets us free
And saves us from the grave


By faith through love and saving grace
Obedience until death
Repentant souls may see the face
Of He who gives us breath


But who will Jesus Christ receive
Accept as Lord and Friend
Allow their sinful souls believe
And learn to comprehend


This world can only give so much
From books its scholars teach
Failing in fact to keep in touch
What only truth can reach


The secrets; faith alone can see
Facts of our Makers’ hand
Truth of which can guarantee
To truly understand


Yet who of us will bow our head
Consider things unseen
Believe in He who once was dead
And let Him intervene


Who’ll lend God an attentive ear?
Who’ll trust His Lamb and Son?
Who’ll give The Lord their doubt and fear?
And see life’s battles won
