My eyes have seen battle.
My mind has felt war.
Here I stand A fighting man
Much different than before.

My heart pumps courage daily.
My country stands behind me.
Here I am A Fighting man
With God's love all around me.

My soul is ready for the worst
And after all is done
I let loose to let life take course
Because the battles won.

I've done my piece-and stayed alive
Yet there are those who've died
Who gave their all for freedoms call
The ultimate sacrifice.
