Heart Of Stone Poem by Amy Edson

Heart Of Stone

Rating: 3.5

In love with a heart of stone
can't get through his tough bone
to the lair where his heart of stone lies
can't find it as time goes by.

Past the rough skin
and my eyes looking like shattered glass
and the time does pass
but I'll keep holding on
he'll open up to me.

I know it won't be long.

I can't wake up
I can't see
my love for him is drowning me.

I'm falling
ever so falling forever.
