hardened soul, soft heart
dearest to me, molded my heart
taught me to cherish,
cared for me to the fullest
guided me, my life, as i grew,
yet her work appreciated only by a few
all i want is to repay her, my dues

she is my inspiration,
as i set my aspirations
her dedication and commitment
perseverance, yielded accomplishments
humble and intelligent
an outer beauty to compliment
telling her 'i love you', is my only intent
