Hoisting an Indian National Flag
Atop every home from August 13th to 15th
Revives the memories of our freedom fighters

Generation to generation we formally
Hoist the tricolour at many places
As a tradition of the Republic of India,
Reinforcing the patriotic spirit in every heart

To Kanyakumari from Kashmir,
It is our India that shines and echoes with the
Real meaning of Unity in Diversity;
As the biggest democracy, India may come across
Negligible or negotiable problems at times;
Get ready, keeping aside all such differences, to take
A strong pledge to hoist the tricolour atop all houses.
