I write for the fear of those who thinks their names will be measure
And still want to remain secret
Cause they work for the NSS, SSS AND POLICE
I write for the pain of those
Who where victim of the bomb blast
Between the christen in Jos and the Muslim
I write for the disappointment of the old
Who think the young ones will move this nation ahead
I write for those ones who lost everything
During the Maiduguri bomb the Jos own
And the latest one at UN in Abuja
I write for those who suffer afflictions
Outside their home just because thy are Nigerian
I cry for those who lost their brother, sister or family
During this new age of Nigeria and I fear
For those ones whose wife’s is a Muslim or the husband is a Christen
What will become of them in this new Nigerian?
But no matter what may have happened
We are still one
United we stand even as we fall one by one
Peace is our watch words even as we
Struggle to keep the peace within
Yet it’s said
As a bunched of broom we stand
But as a piece?
