Happiness Poem by Vanessa Brown

Happiness

Rating: 4.0

Confined to the darkest cell of a room,
I gaze out the window and dream -
My mind wanders back to how lucky I am,
And i can't help but squiggle and beam.

Cocooned in your arms, my heart starts to race and
A pulse true to you alone sings;
The world is at once in perfect harmony,
With all of it's living things.

When you gaze in my eyes, with the tenderest of smiles
Everything around fades to mist,
My heart starts to pound as we trembling embrace,
And i'm lost, lost in your kiss.

You're the angel that lifts me back to my feet
When my wings are struggling to fly;
To me, your compassionate, caring heart's love
Twinkles as stars in the sky.

I look to the stars, bravely shining at night,
Wishing you're there with me too;
I want but one thing, love me in return,
That's all that i ask of you.
